The Catalyst Fund

The Catalyst Fund offers those with a strong commitment to their local area, the opportunity to join with others to establish a long-term plan to fund community projects in the region.

Current priorities are:

Community facilities
Youth projects
Projects for people with disabilities

We make every effort to enable shareholders to meet the groups who have benefited from Catalyst Fund grants. This is done by invitations to special celebratory events or individually through pre-arranged visits.

How it Works

The fund operates through individuals subscribing to 'shares'.
Share holders then have a direct influence on the focus of the fund.
Every pound donated by shareholders is used to directly benefit local cayses, in accordance with priorities determined by the shareholders themselves.

We are also able to benefit from the Giftaid Scheme, whereby for every pound donated by UK taxpayers, the Foundation can claim an extra 25p tax back from the government. This will be used to fund associated and core costs and an endowment fund to secure the long term future of the Catalyst Fund.
